Local content creator, food enthusiast and food critic from the local food show “Eat Local”. I’m here to share (in my opinion) some of Oneida County’s top holiday picks and gift idea places. From amazing food spots to the perfect gift basket, explore local gems that promise to make this holiday season special. All of these places have a rich history and to me are community pillars here in Oneida County, NY.

F.X. Matt Brewery Gift Shop | Utica, NY

Variety of different brewery merch. Unique gifts and souvenirs. Has a real cool old school vibe when you walk inside. They even offer tours of the brewery and have a really cool cafe upstairs. Fun Fact: Utica Club is the 1st beer sold in the United States after prohibition. Grab a six pack for good measure. Cheers.

Almost Local | Clinton, NY

This is probably my favorite place of the picks! 1000 %

It was more than a vibe. It really captures the essence of community and local craftsmanship. Huge variety within the selection of goods and products made by LOCAL artisans and producers. A lot of “Upstate” Merch. Gift baskets, jewelry, non alcoholic wine, so much more. Worth a visit I GUARANTEE you will buy something. It’s one of those places. Store owner is amazing. Very helpful. Love this place. Check out the pizza place across the street too. Giovanni’s one of the best slices in Oneida County I promise you!

Utica Boilermaker Gift Shop | Utica, NY

From race gear to unique memorabilia, it’s the perfect spot to grab a keepsake of this world renowned event. Really cool store and definitely worth a visit even if its just for a really chill history lesson with the store clerk. Amazing place.

Utica Coffee Roasting Co. | Utica, NY

Go to spot for coffee enthusiasts. Amazing vibe here too. Quintessential local coffee shop with a huge following. A lot of amazing merch and and a lot of different coffee flavors inspired by Utica’s rich cultural history. Another great place with a huge variety of gift baskets and cool gift ideas.

Peter’s Cornucopia | New Hartford, NY

Health conscious store famous for its commitment to wellness and quality. Healthy gift basket ideas and a really good cafe right inside the store. I really love the overall vibe of this place. The staff genuinely cared too. They had the whole front of the store set up with gift basket displays!! Amazing!!

Utica Bread | Utica, NY

Local bakery and lunch spot. Celebrated for its artisan breads and pastries. Another place that highlights and showcases other local businesses and products within. All the food made from scratch. Gift baskets on deck. Go grab a grilled cheese on Utica French Country Bread and tell them I sent you!

White Begonia | Sherill, NY

This is the place I’d bring my mom. 1000% Amazing gift ideas. Its a charming store front. Very home like. Offering a curated selection of home decor, jewelry, fashion and gifts (and some that are food-related).

Maria’s Pasta Shop | Utica, NY

Utica STAPLE! This place has everything you need to craft the perfect meal. Offering fresh homemade pastas that bring a taste of Italy to the community. A1 family recipes. Rich history you can appreciate. Gift Baskets on deck! One of my favorite meatball spots for Sunday football.
