Legendary tennis champion, New York Times bestselling author, and entrepreneur Venus Williams will be the next guest in Hamilton College’s Sacerdote Great Names series on Thursday, April 18th.

Legendary tennis champion, New York Times bestselling author, and entrepreneur Venus Williams will be the next guest in Hamilton College’s Sacerdote Great Names series on Thursday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m., in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. The event will be free and open to the public, but tickets will be required. They will be available at www.hamilton.edu/greatnames in late February.

Williams has made a lasting impact on and off the court with her entrepreneurship, advocacy, and fight for equality. Formerly ranked No. 1 in the world, she has won seven Grand Slam titles, five Wimbledon championships, and four Olympic gold medals. One of the most accomplished and inspiring women in the history of sports, she has been a steadfast advocate for equal pay, women’s empowerment, and social justice. Williams is also the New York Times bestselling author of Come to Win. She shares her insights in motivational speaking events for groups including Capital OneErnst & YoungInforGannett, and many others.

Heralded for her innovative business acumen, Williams is the founder of V Starr, a full-service commercial and residential design firm, as well as the plant-based protein company Happy Viking. Additionally, she serves as the chief brand officer to Asutra, a wellness self-care brand that provides various natural and organic products.  Williams recently served as the executive producer on the Academy Award-winning Warner Bros. biopic King Richard, which told the story of her father’s impact on her childhood and career as she and her sister, Serena, became tennis icons and changed the sport for generations to come.
